Today would have been our Noa's first birthday. Noa had that contagious smile and big eyes that captivated anyone who met her gaze. In her memory, we would like to share her story and our experience to help others that may be going through something similar.
Our very dear Noa always had this incredibly special and unexplainable good mood. The entire hospital staff would constantly visit her and jump for joy every time she smiled at them. They would come to see her out of love and to add sunshine to their day. Some even spent their breaks with us. She loved bath time and her toys that she would play with until she fell asleep. When she was awake, she loved being in the arms of her parents, grandparents, uncles and aunts.
Noa was born on March 9, 2022 at 35 weeks weighing 1.7kg at the Jewish Hospital. She was immediately transferred to CHU Ste-Justine. It was in room 56 of the neonatology unit at Ste-Justine that we spent the next 9 month with our little heart. A few nose and stomach surgeries later, we learned that Noa had an incurable lung disease.
The days were sometimes long and very difficult, but with the support of our families and friends, Noa’s medical team and the support of other organizations, we could find the strength to match Noa's smile, to enjoy every little moment with her, and to accompany her.
We want to lean on you again today to continue to spread your prayers and wishes in Noa’s memory. By raising funds for an organization that cared for us and that we care about, we ensure that other parents and children in a similar situation receive the best care and all the support to get through it as much as possible.
We thank you in advance for your generosity.
Noa, maman et papa t’aiment très fort et t’aimeront pour toute la vie. Tu nous manques énormément. Joyeux anniversaire petit cœur.
