When a child is born or diagnosed with a serious illness, the entire family is affected. Families are torn apart as one parent moves into the hospital to be with the sick child. Siblings suffer greatly when their daily routines are disrupted or when their parent's attention is forced to focus on the high demands of the sick child.
Chai Lifeline currently provides support to more than 450 Canadian families, with two-dozen free programs and services that offer whatever is needed.
