On Sunday October 15th, I will be participating in Over The Edge for Chai. Over The Edge is much like it sounds. I will stand on the roof of a downtown Toronto skyscraper (Hotel X) and step Over the Edge and rappel to the ground in support of Chai Lifeline Canada! I am terrified, but I am going to conquer my fear as Chai Lifeline does amazing things to help families during times of illness.
When a child is born or diagnosed with a serious illness, the entire family is affected. Likewise, when a parent becomes ill, it can be a difficult time for the whole family.
Families literally can be torn apart as one parent moves into the hospital to be with the sick child, or when a parent has to fight an illness. Siblings and only children also suffer greatly when their daily routines are disrupted. Chai Lifeline Canada steps in, offering whatever is needed, bringing light, laughter and happiness into the darkest of times. I have personally evidenced the amazing things that this organization offers in times of need.
I am very honoured to help raise awareness and funds for Chai Lifeline Canada. This organization does incredible work and provides support to children and parents who are battling serious illnesses. In helping me reach and exceed my fundraising goals you're also helping to support the Chai Warriors and their families. Special thanks to Sean Werger and Naomi Lieberman in joining me in this adventure!
